Probate Fee Calculator

To use this calculator, enter the estimated value of the estate, except for the homestead property. For example, there are retirement accounts and bank accounts totaling $350,000, the homestead property with a fair market value of $400,000, and a rental property with a fair market value of $125,000. Total estimated estate value is $475,000 that you put into the calculator to get an estimate on fees. Keep in mind that each case is different. This calculator is meant to assist you in estimating the presumed reasonable cost for the personal representative’s attorney’s fees and compensation for the personal representative based on the Florida Statutes.

*These fees do not include court filing fees (aPPROX. $400), any fees associated with Will challenges, disputes among beneficiaries, creditor claims, spousal elections, bond, publication fees (aPPROX. $100), CERTIFIED MAIL fees (aPPROX. $100), etc.

*The probate calculator is for informational purposes only. It is not intended as legal advice, does not establish an attorney-client privilege, and is merely a general estimate based on Florida’s Statutory code. This is not a quote or promise of fees if we are retained. All numbers are rounded up.

*Probate Court proceedings cause family stress, money, and can result in delays of up to 3 years or more in the beneficiaries getting the frozen assets.

* There are ways to avoid Probate court. However, things can fall outside the scope of a trust. An example is if things are not titled in the trust. EACH OF those assets would need to go through probate.
